Rate limits
Requests a minute per key and per organization, releases a day, and platform updates.
On this page
Requests#
Each key may make 120 requests a minute, and the organization three times that across all its keys, unless Stillmore Group agreed other limits with you (Workspace › API shows yours). Every answer says where you stand:
| Header | What it says |
|---|---|
X-RateLimit-Limit | Requests allowed in the current minute |
X-RateLimit-Remaining | Requests left in it |
X-RateLimit-Reset | When the minute ends, as a Unix time in seconds |
Retry-After | On a 429: how many seconds to wait |
Over the limit, the answer is 429 RATE_LIMITED. Wait Retry-After seconds and send it again; the TypeScript client does this for you.
Releases sent a day#
Releases sent to review are counted too: 100 a day by default, from the API and the workspace together. Over it, submissions answer 429 SUBMISSION_LIMIT_REACHED until midnight UTC.
Updates#
While the platform is updated, reads may go on and writes answer 503 MAINTENANCE_READ_ONLY with Retry-After. During a full stop every call answers 503. The status page shows updates as they are announced.
