Switch to Stillmore Group
Move your catalogue without losing a stream
Bring your releases from DistroKid, TuneCore, CD Baby or any other distributor. They keep their UPCs and ISRCs, so the stores can link them to what is already there and your play counts carry over.
How the move works
- 1
Paste your catalogue
An artist page from Spotify, Apple Music or Deezer, links to single releases, or a list of up to 200 UPCs at a time. The tool lists every release the stores know.
- 2
Pick what moves
Each release is looked up in full: every track with its ISRC, the label, the © and ℗ lines and the artwork. Tick the ones to bring over.
- 3
Imported with the same codes
Releases come in as drafts with the UPC and ISRCs exactly as the stores have them, and the original release date. A release whose codes clash with your catalogue is never imported.
- 4
Add masters and artwork
Drop in the original audio and the 3000 × 3000 cover, check the credits, and send each release for review. A person checks it before delivery.
- 5
Live with us first
Once a release is live with us, the stores get 5 business days to link it to your old version through the shared codes.
- 6
Then the takedown
The workspace tells you when it's time and writes the takedown request for your old distributor. Taking the old version down first would leave a gap; never taking it down leaves duplicates.
See what would move first
The free catalogue check reads your releases from the stores and shows what is missing (codes, credits, © and ℗ lines) before you switch.
Questions about switching
- Will I lose my streams if I switch?
- Not your play counts, when the release keeps its UPC and its ISRCs: the stores link the new delivery to the existing release through those codes. That's why the transfer imports the codes exactly as the stores show them and puts the new version live before the old one comes down. Once the old version is gone, check your playlists and the links in your bios.
- What do I need to switch?
- A link to your artist page or releases (or their UPCs), the original audio files and the original 3000 × 3000 artwork. Everything else, from track titles and ISRCs to © and ℗ lines, is read from the stores.
- How long does a switch take?
- Importing takes minutes. Each release then goes through review and delivery, and after it is live the stores get 5 business days to link it before you ask your old distributor to take theirs down.
- What happens to royalties my old distributor still owes?
- Royalties for streams before the switch still arrive through your old distributor as the stores report them, usually for a few months. From the switch on, new royalties come to your Stillmore Group wallet.
- Is the transfer tool extra?
- No. It is part of every Stillmore Group workspace, on every plan. For a large catalogue, talk to us and we'll help you plan the order of the move.
