Looking for a DistroKid alternative for your label?
DistroKid suits solo artists and small teams who release often and want unlimited uploads for a flat yearly fee. A label running a roster usually needs more around the upload: statements for each artist, splits, payouts and someone to talk to. Here is how the two compare, and when staying put is the better call.
How DistroKid charges
Yearly plans by the number of artists, with no share taken of store royalties.
- Musician: $24.99 a year, 1 artist
- Musician Plus: $44.99 a year, 2 artists
- Ultimate: $89.99 a year, 5 artists
- No share of store royalties
- Ultimate covers 5 to 100 artists; the pricing page shows the price for 5 only.

Statements your artists can read
Each artist signs in to their own account and sees their releases, earnings by store and country, and what was paid.
Splits per track
Set a split per recording for producers, featured artists and your own share, and statements follow it.
Sub-labels and artist accounts
Run imprints side by side on the larger plans, each with its own roster, and choose what every artist sees.
A person checks every release
Metadata, artwork and audio are reviewed before delivery, so the stores don't send them back.
Wallet, payouts and advances
Royalties land in a wallet you control; pay artists out, grant advances and track recoupment in one place.
Your own brand, if you want it
Our white label plans put the whole platform under your name, logo and domain.

Questions
- Is Stillmore Group cheaper than DistroKid?
- Not for every roster. DistroKid: yearly plans by the number of artists, with no share taken of store royalties. Our label plans combine a fee with a share of royalties and include the label workspace. Put your own numbers into the distribution cost comparison to see a year side by side.
- Can I move my releases from DistroKid without losing streams?
- Yes, when they keep their UPC and ISRCs. Our transfer tool imports them exactly as the stores show them, puts them live with us first, and only then prepares the takedown request for DistroKid, so there is no gap and no duplicate.
- When should I stay with DistroKid?
- You release for yourself or one or two artists. The lowest flat yearly fee matters more to you than label tools. You are happy to work out splits and artist statements yourself. In those cases the move may not be worth it.
